Training for specialists in the use of assistive equipment
Recently, a theoretical and practical training session on the use of assistive equipment was held at the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children, Chisinau, Moldova, with the active participation of specialists in the medical and social fields.
The activity was organized by the British charity PhysioNet together with IMSP CRRC and with the support of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova. The World Health Organization in Moldova also supported this initiative, being identified as necessary based on the results of the STARS and ATA-C studies, carried out in 2023-24 by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the WHO.
The training was attended by:
• Specialists from institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova;
• Representatives of the Social Service “Mobile Team”;
– Representatives of IP LT Petre Ștefănucă, Ialoveni
• Heads of services, nurses and physiotherapists from the IMSP CRRC center.
The purpose of the training was to consolidate the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of specialists, thus contributing to improving the quality of rehabilitation services offered to children and adults with physical limitations and disabilities.
