Specialists from 14 early intervention centers in the Republic of Moldova received training in the fields of assistive technologies and early rehabilitation

Specialists from 14 early intervention centers in the Republic of Moldova received training in the fields of assistive technologies and early rehabilitation. The action was organized by specialists from the Republican Center for Rehabilitation for Children, with the support of the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization in Moldova (WHO) and the Lumos Moldova organization.
The training, initiated by Deputy Ludmila Adamciuc, entitled “Assistive technologies for positioning and mobility in early intervention”, aimed to develop the skills of specialists in the use of assistive technologies, so that children with disabilities benefit from equipment and solutions adapted to individual needs.
The training activity presented the tool developed by the WHO – Assistive Technology Training (ATT), and the preliminary conclusions of the assessment of assistive technologies in the Republic of Moldova (ATA-C), carried out at the country level in the period 2024–2025.
As a result of this initiative, the participating centers were equipped, by the PhysioNet organization in the UK, with positioning, mobility equipment and other assistive technologies indispensable in the process of providing speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychopedagogy and psychology services.
This achievement is part of the long-term collaboration between the Republican Center for Rehabilitation for Children and the Physionet organization in the UK. Through these joint efforts, we are strengthening more accessible, more modern and more effective services for children in the Republic of Moldova who need early intervention and specialized support.
