New Perspectives in Pediatric Rehabilitation: Participation of IMSP CRRC in the International Forum

On October 17, representatives from the IMSP CRRC had the distinct opportunity to attend the 8th edition of the International Conference “Chisinau 2026 Medical Physical Rehabilitation Forum”—an event dedicated to the exchange of experience, the promotion of innovation, and the continuous development of the field of medical rehabilitation.
The topics addressed were directly relevant to the work of the IMSP Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children, providing valuable insights and fresh perspectives for enhancing the pediatric rehabilitation process.
Key topics of interest included:
Physiotherapy in neuromuscular rehabilitation and modern approaches to functional recovery;
Spasticity from a bioengineering perspective, with a focus on understanding its underlying mechanisms and potential interventions;
Sagittal imbalance of the spine—compensatory mechanisms, radiological assessment, clinical significance, and rehabilitation;
Challenges in neurological recovery in a case of arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, highlighting the importance of tailoring rehabilitation programs to the individual;
Kinesiophobia and the impact of the fear of movement on the recovery process;
The role of the visual system in the development and early detection of idiopathic scoliosis in children aged 3 to 6;
Modern equipment and devices in physiotherapy, which open up new opportunities for functional assessment and recovery. The event benefited from the involvement of scientific partners and companies in the medical and rehabilitation sectors—including HEEL (Germany), Medexcom (Moldova), Reomedical (Romania), and Pharmasanctum (Moldova), among others—all of whom contribute to promoting innovation and modern technologies in medical rehabilitation.
Knowledge, collaboration, and innovation—for modern, individualized, and child-centered pediatric rehabilitation!
We extend our sincere thanks to Medexcom for the financial support that enabled specialists from the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children (IMSP) to participate in this event!
