As part of the project for the development and implementation of telemedicine solutions, carried out by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Moldova, the first training dedicated to this topic took place.
Representatives of several medical institutions participated in the training: IMSP Republican Center for Rehabilitation for Children, IMSP Institute of Mother and Child, IMSP Oncology Institute and IMSP Republican Clinical Hospital.
Several important topics regarding the use of digital solutions in the provision of medical services were addressed during the training. Among the main topics discussed were the coverage area and rapid access to medical services, the efficiency of using telemedicine, data flow and security of medical information, as well as ethical aspects associated with the provision of remote medical services.
An important moment of the training was the first presentation of the software solution that allows for the secure exchange of medical data between specialists and institutions involved in the telemedicine process.
The training represents an important first step in familiarizing specialists with the possibilities offered by telemedicine and with the mechanisms necessary to ensure a fast, efficient and secure exchange of medical information, contributing to improving patients’ access to quality medical services.
