Support for rehabilitation: a new batch of assistive equipment for patients in the Republic of Moldova

The importance of assistive technologies in the acute and subacute rehabilitation process is undeniable!
Today, September 12, the 200th shipment of assistive equipment destined for our country took place in Great Britain!
At the initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, and with the support of the World Health Organization in Moldova, a consignment of 1,093 units of top-quality assistive equipment is on its way to Moldova—intended both to support acute rehabilitation processes and to meet patient needs.
PhysioNet, a trusted partner of the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children, made it possible to fulfill the entire list of requirements; furthermore, the organization’s volunteers collected and loaded the equipment for patients in Moldova. Over the past two years, thanks to this collaboration, we have managed to supply rehabilitation wards, health centers, 15 early intervention centers, temporary placement centers for persons with disabilities, and institutions under the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection with approximately 3,000 units of assistive technology.
We take great pride in this wonderful partnership and wish them good health and continued success in their future endeavors.
