Early Intervention, Consultation and Diagnosis Department with accommodation
The Early Intervention, Consultation and Diagnostic Department with accommodation is a subdivision of the Rehabilitation Center for Children, and aims to identify, consult, assess including functional and imaging, create the individual rehabilitation plan for children with neuromotor disabilities, with the following reference for the Rehabilitation sections Physical and Occupational Therapy and the Psycho-verbal Rehabilitation and Social Assistance Section, providing counseling and training services to their families and accommodation service with the provision of all necessities.
The purpose of the department is to offer initial multidisciplinary consultation, if necessary individual consultation of specialists, establishment of clinical-functional diagnosis, development of individual rehabilitation plan, evaluation of recovery process dynamics through repeated consultation, parent’s school and development of recommendations for recovery at home.

The Early Intervention, Consultation and Diagnostic Department with accommodation aims to achieve the following objectives:
Organization and operation of the department
The interior organization of the spaces of the department intended for children with disabilities corresponds to their specific and age needs, ensures comfort and safety.
The children will be hospitalized in the scheduled ward (with preventive phone registration).
Admission of children will be carried out until 12.00; discharge will take place after 4:00 p.m. On the first and last day, the child will benefit from rehabilitation services in the Center.
Sending children with neuromotor disorders to the Rehabilitation Center for the provision of rehabilitation assistance is carried out on the basis of the CMC referral ticket (form-027/e) and the informed consent signed by one of the parents. The detailed epicrisis from the child’s development sheet (form-112/e), the certificate about the epidemiological status, the copy of the birth certificate, the copy of the medical conclusion for the child with a degree of disability from childhood to the age of 18 will be attached to the referral ticket (form No.- 080/e) – if present.

At the time of hospitalization in the ward, patients are examined by the specialists of the multidisciplinary team Pediatrician, Pediatric Neurologist, Rehabilitation Physician and Medical Assistant, to assess the current level of the child in all areas of development, social and family status, with the elaboration of the individual program of rehabilitation according to the present indications and contraindications.
Each child admitted to the ward is given a complex evaluation that consists in assessing the somatic, neurological and psychological state of the child; of psychic functions, individual cognitive, motor, sensory, communication, socio-emotional and adaptation capacities.
The ward’s capacity allows recovery assistance to be given to 30 children simultaneously with a companion.
The children will be admitted to the ward with a companion; The center will provide food 5 times a day for both the child and the companion.
The feeding of patients and companions is done strictly according to the requirements, and foods included in the list of those prohibited within the ward are not allowed. In case of violation of this requirement, the attending physician in agreement with the administration reserves the right to discharge the patient until the rehabilitation course is finished.
Departments’s activity
The Department’s activity is carried out in equipped spaces, for carrying out the assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation and accommodation process: medical offices (neurologist, pediatrician, rehabilitator), 11 rooms with the necessary furniture organized in separate blocks, every 2 rooms a sanitary block, rest for staff and isolator.
The section operates according to the following regime:
